Tell us more!

We asked Brandon to answer a few questions for us. Here are his thoughtful responses.

What do you like about working for 729?

729 provides me with an opportunity to help a wide variety of companies with their Zendesk needs. It’s great to see Zendesk products at work across so many different kinds of companies. I also get to work from home with a great company that goes out of its way to support both me and our clients.

What are your hobbies?

Spending time with family is always a priority for me. When I’m not doing that, I enjoy serving as a DJ at private events. I also volunteer on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, which is here in Cleveland.

What are you doing to entertain yourself during COVID-19 Stay At Home orders?

We’ve tapped into the power of the Internet to take advantage of various programs that are being live-streamed across the country and around the globe. Some of my favorite programs have been streamed by libraries and nature centers.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

The only time anyone is ever disappointed in life is when their level of expectation isn’t met. Strive to always set, and meet (or exceed), others’ expectations, and those of yourself.

What advice would you give a candidate who wants to join our team of superstars?

Agility and dependability are the two most important qualities needed to find success at 729 Solutions. Our clients’ needs can change minute-by-minute (especially in today’s environment), so being able to think on our feet and make adjustments is crucial.

Also, 729’s great company culture means you should never take yourself too seriously.

Cats or dogs?

Why choose? Cats AND dogs!

What is your favorite word in the English language?

My favorite word in the English language is “microlemma,” because I invented it. Our family uses this word when we have a (small) dilemma, like having trouble deciding whether to cook or get something delivered.

What is your favorite word in another language?

My favorite word in another language is “Shalom,” because of its simplicity and versatility. Depending on the context, it either means hello, goodbye, or peace.

What is the most inspiring part of your job?

I love being able to translate customer requests into real solutions using our tools and technology. It’s amazing what we can do these days with technology, and it’s so rewarding to see the customers excited when we solve their problems.

If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?

I would be able to read minds. Maybe it’s not a superpower, but I would use that skill to understand people better to help meet their needs based on where they currently are in their journey.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I caught the radio bug early and wanted to be an audio engineer. After pursuing this in college I ended up working in the industry for a while before transitioning to software engineering. Even as a grownup, I love going back to my audio-based roots by moonlighting as a DJ!

If you were a pasta shape, what shape would you be and why?

I would be Choo-Choo Noodles because I like trains, and they are fun to eat.

Is there anything else you’d like the world to know about you?

I always like meeting new people. Stalk me on social media if that describes you too!

“The only time anyone is ever disappointed in life is when their level of expectation isn’t met. Strive to always set, and meet (or exceed), others expectations and those of yourself.”
